Tasting notes：

Nose: At first nosing it feels almost compacted, it's a lot there but it is as if it's struggling or competing to reach you. I will have to see what happens with a bit of water.70ppm does not come across as "in your face" peated as I get lots of it as pure smoke as much as peat.Dry sherry fruitiness, dry clean wood.Water made it more peat dominant. Have to say I liked it better neat.

Palate: Velvety texture. If the nose felt like it cried for water the taste is really spot on without it.Modest but solid peppery spice arriving in a very controlled manner.More dark chocolate and leather than fruits.
Very subtle sweetness.Here as well water tilt it in the peaty direction, kicks it almost off balance and takes the excitement out of it.

Finish: Neat it is long on pleasantly drying spices and a lingering sweetness. This keeps the peat at bay and barely noticeable.Water shortens it, dulls it down and leaves you with mostly washed out peat.
