Tasting notes：

Nose: Intensely Ardbeg from the first nosing: smoldering peat smoke, sea spray, and damp earth. Underneath the rugged exterior, a rich layer of dark fruits begins to unfold—dried figs, black cherries, and a touch of raisin. Hints of leather and burnt orange peel mingle with sweet pipe tobacco and a faint sherry glaze, like a campfire in a fruit orchard.

Palate: Full-bodied and unapologetically peaty, with Ardbeg’s trademark oily texture. Earthy smoke and charcoal dust coat the tongue, then give way to a surprising burst of sherry sweetness—think spiced plums, toffee-drenched dates, and a hint of cinnamon. The balance is masterful: the sherry notes pop without muting the Islay intensity. A touch of espresso and salted caramel rounds out the mid-palate.

Finish: Long and smoldering. Ashen peat, cracked black pepper, and a lingering brininess lead the way, but a final echo of dark chocolate-covered and sweet oak spice leaves a lasting impression. The sherry influence fades gently, never stealing the spotlight but leaving a memorable signature.
